Dear Valued HIWIN Customer,

This email is to inform you that recent changes to the Section 232 rate calculation have impacted HIWIN. Under previous rules, Section 232 tariffs were applied only to the value of the metal content within a product. Now, tariffs are applied to the full value of the imported product, which can significantly increase duty costs even when metal represents a small percentage of the total value. Consequently, we will need to assess an increased rate on new imports shipped to our customers. The rate will be changing from 5% to 10%. The Hiwin US stock, already imported at the lower rate, is expected to last until mid-May. The surcharge increase will therefore take place on orders shipped after May 15^th.

In the meantime, if orders need to be fulfilled with new imports from the factory, the 10% rate will be applied immediately.
