The manner I would move the machines into place would be with a forklift. If we skated the machines into place on road plates we would not be able to stay on the plates for final positioning of the machines. Some of your equipment does not allow adequate surface area on the bottom to use jacks to remove them from the skates, where it would be permissible, this would also point load the floor. My road plates weigh around 4,000lb and are ideally moved into place with a forklift which would require driving onto the plates to set them. I believe you would probably be better off moving the machines in on air skates to minimize the affected weight on the floor, unfortunately we do not possess those. If you would like for me to do the job with conventional means that we can supply I would do it in the manner mentioned above. We would have you sign a waiver for any damage to the floor and thank you for informing us of the potential danger.

Thanks,

Hello Paula and Terri

Before we schedule, one important condition on the destination floor. The Mesa slab is only 4" thick, and we can't repour before the move, so slab protection needs to be part of the job:

Set method— please tell me how you'll move and set each machine inside the building (crane/gantry vs. forklift vs. skates). We want tominimize loaded forklift travel across the slab; prefer crane offload + machinery skates for interior positioning.

Load-spreading— lay temporarysteel road plates / crane matsalong the travel path so wheel/skate loads are distributed, and keep loads off control joints and slab edges.

Base plates— machines will sit on steel load-spreading plates under the leveling feet; we'll provide these — coordinate final placement with your crew.

Floor-damage responsibility: I need to align on this: if the slab is damaged despite the protection above being followed, how do we handle it?

Confirm whether items 1–2 change your price, and add them as line items.

Please reply with your set method and any cost adjustment, and we'll get it scheduled.

Respectfully,
Lorena Carrillo

Great thank you! please see attached bid approval signoff.

When would we have to let you know the move date? We are still looking at mid-to late June and hoping for a Friday move date.  So, most likely, the 19th or 26th.

Thank you for your time,

Lorena Carrillo
