Re: Tempe Crane shop relocation estimate
The manner I would move the machines into place would be with a forklift. If we skated the machines into place on road plates we would not be able to stay on the plates for final positioning of the machines. Some of your equipment does not allow adequate surface area on the bottom to use jacks to remove them from the skates, where it would be permissible, this would also point load the floor. My road plates weigh around 4,000lb and are ideally moved into place with a forklift which would require driving onto the plates to set them. I believe you would probably be better off moving the machines in on air skates to minimize the affected weight on the floor, unfortunately we do not possess those. If you would like for me to do the job with conventional means that we can supply I would do it in the manner mentioned above. We would have you sign a waiver for any damage to the floor and thank you for informing us of the potential danger.Thanks,PAUL GILDON
