ADOR Sends Late Renewal Billing Letters for 2026 TPT Licenses
Businesses with past-due 2026 Transaction Privilege Tax (TPT) License renewal fees should submit payment to receive their 2026 license, avoid additional penalties, and ensure their account remains current. These fees were due on January 1, 2026, and the Arizona Department of Revenue (ADOR) has begun issuing late renewal billing notices.
Action Required for Businesses:
Pay the License Fee: Taxpayers can no longer manually renew online, but they can still pay the license fee liability at AZTaxes.gov. Prompt compliance online is the fastest way to resolve the liability.
Business Closure: Taxpayers who have closed their business must cancel their existing TPT license through AZTaxes.gov or submit a Business Account Update form with a cancel effective date. This is necessary to keep the account in good standing and avoid additional penalties and interest.
Mail Payments/Correspondence: There is a unique address for all renewal forms, correspondence, and payments:

Phoenix, AZ 85038-9082Sending payments or correspondence to any other address will delay processing.
Important Reminders:
Operating a business without proper licensing is a class 3 misdemeanor.
Once a business has renewed its TPT license and paid the fee in full, the new TPT license certificate will be generated and sent to the mailing address on file with ADOR.
Businesses should keep their mailing addresses and account information up-to-date to ensure timely receipt of letters, notices, and billings.

Please be advised that the release of the Reversals Management Tool, originally scheduled for April 30, 2026 has been deferred to May 7, 2026. This adjustment enables completion of final internal data validation to ensure accuracy and system readiness at launch.
